Cameron Diaz has officially proclaimed her return to the limelight after taking a break from the spotlight in 2018.

When she announced her retirement in 2018, she disappointed fans who looked forward to her films. Diaz's return four years later has turned the sadness into joy.

Jamie Foxx was the one who announced the revelation on Twitter, where he posted audio from a phone call he had with Diaz. Diaz has since confirmed the news on her Instagram story.

Foxx shared the following on Twitter:

Foxx and Diaz will co-star in the new Netflix action-comedy, Back in Action. This is not the first time the two will work together; they first appeared onscreen together in 1999 in the sports drama Any Given Sunday and then rejoined in 2014 in Annie.

According to Variety, the actress was nervous and didn't know what to say to her fans about her comeback to Hollywood.

“I don’t know how to do this, you know?” she said.

Foxx has since recommended her to Tom Brady, who retired from the NFL before rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 40 days later. Fans of the actress have taken to social media to express their joy.
