Complete Sport claims Genk turned down the €25m offer from the Serie A outfit with the aim of making more money on the player. The publication says they want to sell him for €25m.

The former Belgian Pro League champions bought Onuachu for €6m two years ago from Danish outfit FC Midtjylland.

Onuachu made his national team debut in 2019 and has already grabbed three goals in 10 appearances - the last two coming against Benin Republic and Lesotho earlier this year.

And with two goals in his last two games for the Super Eagles, he is fast becoming a key member of coach Gernot Rohr's team.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu continued with his superb goal-scoring form for Belgian side Genk this term netting the first goal in their 3-0 win over Club Brugge on Friday night, May 7,

Club Brugge went into this encounter with the determination to shock Paul Onuachu and his teammates in front of their faithful, but they ended up losing the tie.

The visitors almost scored the first goal in the 5th minutes after Hans Vanaken delivered a good pass for Bas Dost, but he was unable to beat Genk goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt.
