Man United have booked a place in the semi-finals of this season's Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side sailed through after seeing off Granada in the quarter-finals in a two-legged affair.

The Red Devils secured a 4-0 goal aggregate over the La Liga side, with Edinson Cavani helping them to get the job done at Old Trafford on Thursday, April 15.

The Uruguayan scored one of the two goals register in the second leg of the tie played in Manchester, handing the hosts the lead just six minutes into kick-off.

The experienced forward capitalised on Paul Pogba's looping backward header, scoring a left-footed volley just inside the Granada penalty area.

Both teams had chances at either end shortly after the break, with Granada's Jorge Molina heading into the hands of David de Gea, before Mason Greenwood firing straight at Rui Silva moments later.

The visitors' best opportunity to score against United was in the dying minutes of the match when Victor Diaz was teed up only to shoot straight at De Gea.

The hosts managed to hold to Cavani's opener before Jesus Vallejo directed the ball into his own net to double United's advantage.

Ole's men will now face off against AS Roma in the last four of the tournament for a chance to reach the finals.

Roma stunned Ajax 3-2 on aggregate in their own quarter-final fixture to qualify for the next round.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reacted to his side’s exit from the UEFA Champions League after they lost to Spanish giants Real Madrid 3-1 on aggregates.

The Reds failed to turn things around at Anfield on Wednesday night having started the game from behind - following their 3-1 first leg loss.

Liverpool will only blame themselves for the ouster after they missed a couple of begging chances during the encounter as Klopp appeared to have singled out Mohamed Salah for their misfortune.
