Young Nigerian man makes 11-day charcoal painting of Okonjo Iweala, says he hopes to meet her someday

- A Nigerian youth has done an amazing artwork in celebration of World Trade Organization Director-General, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

- Tijani Rahman shared a charcoal painting he made of the female record-breaker

- He said the painting took him 11 days to make and expressed his desire of seeing Okonjo-Iweala in the near future

Nigerians have yet to get over the record-breaking feat of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala assuming the Director-General role of the World Trade Organization and have come up with different ways of celebrating the amazon.

Rahman said the beautiful painting which he started on Monday, February 8, took him 11 days to create and was done to honour NOI who he described as the great woman of our time.

His post read in part:

"Done and dusted. I present to you, THE FIRST FEMALE AND THE AFRICAN to be Director General in World Trade Organization (W.T.O), Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.
"I started this Art piece on 8th February, 2021, cos I really believe in God over you, in achieving this Greatness.
"My foresight led me to do an Artworks for you. Wish to present to you, someday. Congratulations to you, The Great Woman of our Time."

Many who saw his work commended him for his talents and the gesture.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a young man named Bamaiya had painted Okonjo Iweala on a big wall.

Recall that it was this same young man that painted different types of naira notes months ago where he wore masks on the popular faces on the currencies. He sketched and painted popular Nigerian celebrities like Davido and Laycon.

In his current art, he shared three different snaps that captured the creation process. In one of the snaps, Okonjo-Iweala was just sketched. Another showed him applying paint while the third has Bamaiya posing beside the finished work.
