It was reported that this was coming as the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission announced that 270 stranded nationals departed Cairo for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The commission said the Nigerians are expected to arrive Abuja around 6:00 pm local time on Friday, July 10.
In another report, Governor Willie Obiano told residents of Anambra state that the number of COVID-19 cases in the state would likely increase in the coming weeks.
The governor made the disclosure on Friday, July 10, through the commissioner of information, Don-Adinuba.
He said in recent times there has been no significant rise of the disease in the state, pointing out the 20 cases reported by the NCDC days ago were based on samples taken over three weeks across the state.
Obiano disclosed that the state was planning to increase testing capacity after the commissioning of the mega laboratory at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka.
He said the mega lab will be able to test 470 samples for COVID-19 simultaneously, thereby increasing the detection rate in the state.
