Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Saka, Nketiah fire Gunners to 2-1 win over Cherries

- Bournemouth vs Arsenal's FA Cup clash saw the Gunners bounce back to winning ways

- Bukayo Saka and Edward Nketiah both scored a goal each to hand the visitors the victory after the match

- The North Londoners continue their Premier League campaign against Burnley at Turf Moor this weekend

Arsenal are through to the next stage of this year's FA Cup championship following their 2-1 win over fellow Premier League side Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Two first-half goals from Bukayo Saka and Edward Nketiah were all the Gunners needed to claim their first win in their last four encounters.

The north Londoners needed just five minutes to find the back of the net after 18-year-old fired home an unstoppable shot from close range into the home team's net.

Despite being fielded in the wing-back position, Saka overlapped well enough to support his side's attack when helped them mount more pressure on their hosts.

The build-up to the goal saw so many touches but it was Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli who laid the final pass for the goalscorer in the 5th minute.

Mikel Arteta's men continued their bright start to the game as they searched for more goals but their efforts failed to pay off until the 28th minute when Nketiah grabbed his side's second.

The 20-year-old England star had no issues putting Bukayo Saka's superb low cross into the back of the net.

The north Londoners enjoyed much possession in the game despite resting some of their key players for the meeting.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe was a thorn in the flesh for the home team as the Ivorian winger tormented Bournemouth's defenders in the early parts of the meeting.

Arsenal were unable to keep a clean sheet after regulation period as Sam Surridge's goal reduced his side's deficit in the added minutes.

His goal was, however, unable to stop hosts from crashing out of the competition as the away team ran off with 2-1 victory.

It is also unsure which team the Emirates Stadium outfit will be playing in the fifth round of the competition.

Arteta's men will also continue their quest to finish strong in the Premier League this weekend when they battle Burnley at the Turf Moor.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man, has hinted at possible takeover of Premier League giants Arsenal, with the Nigerian business mogul declaring the takeover could happen in 2020 or 2021.

Dangote, a die-hard Arsenal fan, has been previously linked with the purchase of the club from Stan Kroenke — a deal that could gulp over $4 billion from his pocket.

But speaking with David Rubenste in show in America, the 62-year-old business mogul gave Nigerian Arsenal fans a sigh of relief after re-establishing interest in taking over the purchase of the North London side.
