Africa women's footballer of the year Asisat Oshoala may have successfully pranked her followers.

The Super Falcons goal poacher shared a post on her Instagram inviting her family and friends to her wedding next month.

In the post she shared, the Barcelona superstar said her wedding is coming up on February 30th this year.

And even in a leap year, the second month of the year only ends on the 29th but it appears the former Arsenal and Liverpool ladies star has her own calendar.

Meanwhile, with weeks to the big day, the Nigerian football star has kept the identity of her husband from the reach of the public.

Oshoala said on Instagram that: "I am getting married on February 30th. Everyone is invited to attend".

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has been on fire for the Barcelona women's team so far this campaign having netted 14 goals in the last 16 league appearances.

Although she fired blanks in her side's last two encounters, she has a total of 15 goals in all competitions so far this season.

The forward has won four Africa Women's Championship title since she broke into the senior team in 2011.

Legit.ng earlier reported that FC Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala has been voted African Women’s Player of the Year for the fourth time.

The Nigeria international beats competition from South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana and Ajara Nchout of Cameroon.

According to CAF website, Asisat polled 351 votes, 30 more than Cameroonian counterpart Ajara Nchout while Thembi Kgatlana finished with 247 votes.

Few days after being crowned the queen of African football, Oshoala celebrates her recent Africa player of the year award with four goals for FC Barcelona Women's team in Saturday's 6-0 win over Tacon.

The Nigeria international emerged victorious for the fourth time after polling 351 votes to beat competition from Thembi Kgatlana and Ajara Nchout in the year under review.

Oshoala grabbed her first goal of the match just two minutes into the encounter after tapping into the net from close range.
