Recall that Burna Boy and AKA had been involved in verbal altercations on social media sometime in year 2019 during the period xenophobic attacks took place in South Africa.

AKA had made comments that made many people feel he is xenophobic and Burna Boy reacted to them by threatening to deal with the South African rapper if they ever happen to meet one on one.

The issue escalated on social media and South Africans and Nigerians started trading words on Twitter. A peace concert that was also set to hold in South Africa with Burna Boy being the headliner was cancelled due to threat of violence from citizens of the country.
