He also has a great love for music that he was once said to have written in his journal that: "If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music... I get most joy in life out of music."

Einstein’s funeral and cremation rites were very private affairs as only one photographer from LIFE magazine with the name Ralph Morse was allowed to cover the event in pictures.

It is interesting to note that the pictures taken at the event were never published because the son of Einstein made the request. The pictures remained unpublished for more than five decades in the magazine’s archive.

It should be noted that Einstein would have been 140 today if he were alive. He died at the Princeton Hospital.

Moments after the 20th century icon died in the hospital, he was moved to Princeton in his home for the preparation of his funeral rites.

Morse, on hearing about the death of Einstein, drove first to the hospital and then Einstein’s home to capture the last moments surrounding the icon’s life.
