Ibrahim Shekarau, Aminu Wali, and Mansur Ahmed have been granted bail by a Federal High Court in Kano.
Shekarau, a former Kano state governor and former presidential candidate and the two other Peoples Democratic Party leaders were accused of sharing N950 million campaign funds prior to the 2015 elections.
Premium Times reports that the defendants face a six-count charge bordering on conspiring to recieve cash payment without passing through a financial institution.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that there was commotion as supporters of former Kano state governor Ibrahim Shekarau attempted to block his rescheduled visit to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) .
Legit.ng had gathered that a witness said hundreds of supporters of the former education minister thronged the Hajj Camp Road offices of the anti-graft agency to protest what they called “persecution” by the agency.
Legit.ng had also reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly concluded plans to arraign Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, a former Kano state governor, Ambassador Aminu Wali and Engineer Mansur Ahmed before a Federal High Court in Kano.
The three politicians would be arraigned on Thursday, May 24 over alleged mismanagement of N950 million campaign fund.
The report said the counsel to the three politicians, Barrister Abdul Adamu Fagge, confirmed that the EFCC had filed six-count charge bordering on money laundering on them.

Fagge said the charge sheet showed that the first and second charges were on Shekarau and Wali for collecting N25 million each out of the N950 million, while the third was on Engineer Ahmed, who allegedly collected N10 million.
