Adeniran said: “We are talking among ourselves. l am sure we will get it right before the convention. God does not make mistakes I am sure he will step in.”

He however denied rumours within the party that his campaign is sponsored by a group of politicians.

His words: “This is just propaganda to pull me down and provoke me because they all know I possess the potential to turn around the fortune of PDP.

“To me, this is a wicked insult and the greatest insult. Nobody is sponsoring my aspiration and I want to tell you that I stand for the truth, equity and fairness. This should not be used to further destabilize the party.

“I am not being sponsored by Buruji Kashamu, Atiku Abubakar or Ibrahim Babangida or anybody. I know this is the handiwork of mischief makers and it will not work, God will deal with them soon.

“The sponsors of the allegation are those afraid of defeat at the December 9 convention.”

Professor Adeniran promised that if elected, the PDP will regain the power at the center and send the ruling APC packing.

“The party is like a vehicle which developed fault before getting to its destination. What we need now is both a driver and a mechanic who can fix the vehicle as it moves on.

“l am both a driver and a mechanic because l know this party from onset and can fix the problems for it to have a smooth drive,” he said.

Meanwhile, the director-general of Professor Tunde Adeniran Campaign Organisation, Alhaji Shehu Gabam, has urged PDP faithfuls across the country to reward loyal party members with key positions in its forthcoming convention in December.

Gabam made the call during an interaction with journalists on Monday, October 9, at the campaign office of Professor Tunde Adeniran.

Gabam, a former chief of staff to the Bauchi state government, stated that Adeniran’s candidature is a departure from the past where people with questionable characters are elected to lead the party.
