Nigeria’s number one news portal, Legit.ng, was on September 20, awarded the Best Online News Platform in Nigeria.
The award was presented to the management of Legit.ng at the Nigeria Rebirth Conference which was held at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
The country manager of Legit.ng, Mr Goke Olaegbe and the Editor-in-Chief, Mr Bayo Olopohunda were on hand to receive the award.
The father of the day, the Ooni of Ife; Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi commended Legit.ng for the award. Oba Ogunwusi noted that he knows and reads Legit.ng.
He commended the management of Legit.ng for a job well done and urged the medium to continue its good work in the Nigerian media space.
Among special guests at the grand ceremony were the Obong of Calabar; Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu (V), deputy Senate leader; Bala Ibn Na'Allah, chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum; Alhaji Ibrahim Ahamadu Coomassie, media guru; Eugenia Abu, former footballer, John Fashanu and other prominent traditional leaders across Nigeria.
