63-Year-Old Man Slumps At Beer Parlour

A 63-year-old man, Izora Michael, slumped and died at a beer parlour in Odeogun Quarters area of Idi Iroko, Ogun State.

The incident happened on Tuesday, August 5, Vanguard report

According to an eyewitness, Michael had barely bought a bottle of beer, when he suddenly slumped.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, explained that detectives had visited the scene of the incident and they did not suspect any foul play.

He said that Michael's family rejected any post mortem on the corpse, adding that it has been released to them for burial.

There have been cases of people slumping and passing away.

Last week, a police inspector in Abia state, Samuel Amaefule, slumped and died within the premises of the police station.

Also during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, a 48-year-old businessman in Lagos, slumped and died while he was watching the semi-final game between Argentina and the Netherlands.
