Johnson Olawuni, Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has warned intending corps members against falsifying medical report for the purpose of redeployment.

Olawuni, who gave the warning on Sunday, stated that any corps members caught in such an act would be severely dealt with.

“I wish to make it clear that medical papers submitted for the purpose of seeking for relocation will be subjected to thorough scrutiny and any case of forgery will be visited with commensurate punishment in line with the NYSC bye-law,” he said.

He explained that intending corps members have developed the habit of pretending to be ill for the purpose of seeking redeployment to the state or area of their choice.

According to him, the corps discovered that most of the medical reports submitted by corps members were fake, and that most of the hospitals that allegedly issued such reports do not even exist.
