Kidnappers Of Golden Chioma Demand N200m Ransom

The kidnappers of Rivers State lawmaker Golden Chioma abducted last week demand N200m ransom for his release.

Chioma, representative of Etche II Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly and an active supporter of governor Rotimi Amaechi, was whisked away from his house by the unknown gunmen between 7.30pm and 8pm.

While the residents could see the terrifying development, they still could do nothing but watch helplessly how the victims was being driven away to the unknown location.

Today Premium Times reports with reference to a close family source that the kidnappers contacted the relatives and demanded the said sum of money.

"But the family members are saying they do not have such an amount of money."

Commenting on the situation, Rivers House of Assembly member condemned the act of abduction and urged the police to ensure Chioma's soon release.
