Zoning Will Affect My Gubernatorial Ambition – Senator Paulinus Igwe-Nwagu

The PDP Ebonyi Central Senator, Paulinus Igwe-Nwagu, has revealed how political zoning of office can affect his gubernatorial ambition in the state.

Senator Paulinus who is a representative for Ezzra North/Ishielu constituency of Ebonyi State, Nigeria in the House of Representatives, told newsmen that the act of zoning only favours politicians who are lack moral strength, using the US President Barrack Obama as an example.

Inciting fellow gubernatorial aspirants in Ebonyi to present their programmes to the electorate, he pointed out bitterly how every man should be given the utmost chance to prove himself worthy of ruling Ebonyi State no matter the Local Government Area such persons are from.

The Senator also made it known that the zoning procedure is rather a selfish venture, which makes unworthy persons who do not have the good of the people in mind, emerge as governors. The Senator, who has been a Councillor, Local Government Chairman, Member of the House of Representatives and presently a Senator in 36 years, does not see any reason why he should not be the next Governor of the state if the zoning procedure is not in view.

It would be recalled that just recently, aside from the zoning procedure, additional states have been planned to be added to the existing states in the South East Zone and in Nigeria on the whole.
