Football marathon that started a bit more than one month ago has come to an end with a memorable finale at the legendary Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 13, 2014, Germany lift the cup for the forth time in its history, while Argentina could barely hide its disappointment.

Germany's / Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze was the hero of the night and of the whole tournament. The talented 22-year-old midfielder scored on the 113th minute after the Bundes team had been battling long into extra time with organised Argentinean defence.
