Lagos APC Says No Zoning Policy For 2015 Election
Henry Ajomale, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday said that the party does not practice zoning system.
According to Daily Independent, he made the assertion in a reaction to a report that the party has zoned its 2015 Presidential ticket to the North West therefore jeopardising the chances of aspirants from other zones.

The party chairman said that the party has no such arrangement in its constitution and would not adopt zoning for any of its elective positions.
“We are not PDP, so we don’t adopt zoning in our party,” he said.
Ajomale also reiterated that every member of the APC has the right to aspire for any elective position.
“Our interest is to give Nigerians the best candidate and that person can come from South East, South West, North East, South South or any part of the country provided he is the person that can give Nigerians the dividends of democracy it doesn’t matter,” he added.
The party chairman questioned why Nigerians should be disturbing themselves about zoning instead of concentrating on a candidate that can deliver the dividends of democracy to them, as it being practiced in countries like Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom, as well as the United States of America.
Ajomale assured that the party will never fall into the category of zoning because its main crux is to provide a leader that can transform the country and free it from the long-suffered economic backwardness caused by poor power supply.

It was a combination of the country's four biggest opposition parties, which comprised the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The aim of the mega merger was to take over power from the long ruling People's Democratic Party, PDP.
