The German parliamentarians support is coming on the same day the Fact Finding Committee set up by President Goodluck Jonathan on the Abduction of Chibok School Girls submitted its report.

The #BringBackOurGirls campaign sprang up after more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram on the 14th of April. They have been protesting and are not giving up until the girls come back home safely.

In May, the #BringBackOurGirls protesters led by Ms. Ezekwesili, former Education Minister, were attacked by suspected pro-government thugs.

On June 1, Joseph Mbu, the Abuja Commissioner of Police, announced the ban all protests in Abuja.
