Borno Town Dikwa Under Attack

Fresh reports reaching us say the suspected Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Dikwa town located in Borno State.

According to Daily Trust, one of the locals identified as Ari Bulawa provided that scores of insurgents had invaded the town around 11am, June 9, and engaged troops.

The resident was quoted saying:

"The terrorists have attacked the military station in Dikwa with guns and explosives and the fight is ongoing. Most of our people have fled for now and only God knows how the fight will end."

It would be recalled that last month Dikwa became target of gunmen, who stormed the town's Teachers' College killing 7 people.
