Daniel, who is now a functionary of the Labour Party of Ogun State, stated that the the All Progressives Congress, APC, had enough time to prove its efficiency but focused only on road construction fully ignoring other sectors development.

The disclosure was made available to newsmen by the former governor in Sagamu, Ogun state on Sunday 8 June. In his statement Daniel stressed out his interest in the ejectment of the tenants at Oke Mosan and сarped the desire of APC to stay at the helm in 2015.

He also accused the current government of dragging the whole state into debts and wasting too many resources on expansion of few roads.

Recalling his 8 years tenure in office as governor of Ogun State, Daniel said: "I want to tell you that all what we spent including salaries, benefits, projects and others inclusive was 300 billion naira and to my utmost surprise, this government has spent over 270 billion naira on road construction alone in just two years. This is shocking."

Daniel also admitted that he requested to provide him with information on the value of all the projects related to road construction and up till today, he recieved no reply.

"These roads are good, but how much do they cost? I am an engineer, they can’t be fooling us, I have a duty for the generations yet unborn to give them information and I am fully ready and equipped for that."

Moreover, a member of the State House of Assembly, Remmy Hazzan, representing Odogbolu State Constituency accused Ibikunle Amosun of lying about the total debts that equals N37.6billion.

He claimed that this sum of money is only for the issuance and capital while actually the state owes N18 billion dollars to international donors and N250 billion to contractors.

"This government also deceived the civil servants to get loan on the arrangement that it will be deducted from the source. But I can confirm to you as we stand here today that since February 2014, the money have been deducted and were not remmited to the banks, this is anti-labour and fraudulent." Hazzan claimed.

Highlight of the event was the detection of some APC members in the State to the Labour Party. Among the defectors are the former Chairman, Sagamu local government, Otunba Shamsideen Osho and Chief Moshood Ogunfadewo from Ijebu East. They were welcomed into the party by the Labour Party Chairman in the State, Comrade Niyi Osoba.
