Man Beats His Wife To Death

Policemen from the Oyo state police command have arrested a 47-year-old man identified as Ismaila Alabi for allegedly beating his wife, Bashirat Alabi, to death.

According to report, the deceased had left her husband's house after the beating for her mother’s house at Apete area of Ibadan for treatment at a hospital, where she died.

She was said to have grown boils all over her body which the doctors could not find solution to and she was thereby rejected at the hospital.

After she was rejected by the doctors, she was said to have confided in her mother that her husband used charm on her.

After confiding in her mother, she gave up the ghost.

However, her husband, Mr. Alabi denied the allegations.

While speaking with newsmen, Alabi said he hand no hand in his wife's death.

"I did not use anything to beat her. It has been about two years since we fought, but this fight just came up and she left for her mother’s house at Apete. I was shocked when I heard she had died," he said.
