Suspected Ritualists Kill Octogenarian In Ondo

Unidentified suspected ritualists have murdered an 80-year-old woman in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

Mrs. Olu Omotayo's lifeless body was found a few days ago with her head reportedly smashed and her private part shaved. According to sources, she had converted a small shop, close to where her body was found, to a living quarters of some sorts. Locals say the elderly woman used to behave like a "lunatic," always carrying the Holy Bible with her and preaching. However, people who knew her denied the allegation, saying she only behaved funny occasionally.

She was given a small apartment in Akure to stay there, but abandoned the place to live at the shopping complex where she was eventually murdered.

The woman's husband had died about ten years ago, but she had relations in Lagos State.
