President Jonathan To Hold Media Chat On May 4
A fresh edition of Presidential Media Chat is scheduled for May 4, 2014, Sunday, 7pm.
This has been contained in a statement by a Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Reuben Abati. The media chat will be broadcasted live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Voice of Nigeria (VON).
President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to answer multiple questions on the current national issues and developments from a panel of journalists and media executives.
Citizens may send their questions via Twitter to @mediachatng1. The most significant of them would be processed and forwarded to President Jonathan for reply during the programme.
The statement also urged other radio and television stations in the country to hook up to NTA and FRCN to relay the programme to their listeners and viewers.
It would be recalled that the previous edition of the media was held on February 24, 2014, Monday. Jonathan replied to dozens of questions on such topics as Boko Haram insurgency, 20 missing schoolgirls in Borno, suspension of CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi and many others. However, most of viewers and listeners were not satisfied with President’s answers.
