Fashola Speaks About Country Problems And Leaders

Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola believes that it is possible for Nigeria to overcome the country problems, NAN reports.

Speaking at the public presentation of an online newspaper "The Cable", Fashola also urged professionals from the private sector to go into politics for leadership positions, adding that their skills could be used for the nation's development.

He made another appeal to Nigerians asking them to actively participate in the elections process:

"We talk of bad leadership but can we free ourselves of the blame? How do these so-called bad leaders get to their offices? Did we vote for them? If we agree that they get there on their own, that means we don’t vote during elections. And if we don’t vote during elections, how do we expect to get the kind of leaders we want?"
