Abuja Explosion: National Conference Delegates Send Condolences To Victims' Families.

Delegates to the National Conference have today passed a motion condemning Monday’s explosion in Nyanya Motor Park in Abuja.

The delegates resolved to send condolences to the families of those who perished today and those who lost their lives in attacks in other places across the country.

The motion was moved by Ishaq Modibbo Kawu and 20 others.

In the five prayers of the motion the delegates condemn the activities of the perpetrators of the crimes.

They also express concern over the continuous deterioration of the security situation in Nigeria and urge the federal government to take drastic and concrete steps to arrest the responsible and to put an end to the bloody attacks.

The delegates call on the FG to implement all of the recommendations made to it by various committees such as Gaji Galtimari, Kabiru Turaki, Borno/Yobe Elders, etc.

Finally, the conference participants appeal to the FG to promptly begin a process of reconciliation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the affected areas.

An explosion tore through Nyanya Motor Park a busy commuter bus station in the outskirts Abuja – around 7am when hundreds of people were travelling to work. Score of people have been reported to be killed an injured.
