Baking soda can act as a good deodorizer for shoes. Just do not forget to remove it from inside shoes in the morning!
There is one liquid that bacteria hate the most - it is alcohol. So place enough alcohol on the inside of the shoe and leave for one night.
Black tea bags
Black tea bags contain tannins which are very effective in killing bacteria. Place the tea bag on boiling water for a few minutes and leave on the shoe for an hour.
Use dryer sheets that can be placed on the shoes while the shoes are worn.
Freeze your shoes! Put them in reseal able bags and leave inside the freezer overnight. Then take shoes out from the freezer and thaw out.
