Driver Stabbed To Death By Lover

The Police in Ondo state have arrested a woman, Fasilat for allegedly stabbing her lover, Felix to death in Ikare Akoko area of the state.

The deceased a 32-year-old driver according to unconfirmed report was the Deputy  Chairman of the Abuja unit  of the National Union of Road Transport  Workers, NURTW, Ikare branch before he met his untimely death.

According to a reliable source, the deceased who was reported to have taken his lover to a guest house, was stabbed with a broken bottle and had bites all over his body following a disagreement between the two.

The suspect was arrested after the deceased put a call through to his friend informing him of the incident, that he was on his way to the hospital, who in turn alerted the police.

But unfortunately the deceased was already dead by the time his friend got to the hospital.

Meanwhile it was learnt that prior to his death, the deceased had been warned to steer clear of any illicit love affair by a prophet through his wife and also of an impending danger.

But the deceased did not find the prophecy funny as it was reported that he went to the church and gave the prophet a warning not to interfere in his affairs.

Police source said the suspect was discovered to be under the influence of drugs as some drugs were recovered from her bag but also said that the suspect alleged killed the deceased in self-defence because he wanted to rape her.

The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital, Ikare for autopsy.

The PPRO, Wole Ogodo, could not be reached for comment, but a competent police officer confirmed the incident but said the DPO in Ikare was yet to brief the state command.
