Pastor Adeboye Says Facebook Marriages Don't Last

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye believes that choosing partners in social media results in unstable marriages.

Speaking at the wedding of President Goodluck Jonathan’s foster daughter Faith on Saturday, the renowned cleric said:

"If you marry the modern way like on Facebook, you may likely divorce the modern way. Marry traditionally and involve God."

Moreover, according to him, a husband bears full responsibility for the success or failure of the marriage, because a man is the head of the family.

Adeboye advised the groom not to criticize his wife but correct her in love and also advised both mother-in-laws to let the newly-made couple handle their family life issues by themselves.
