Man attempted to smuggle more than three kilos of cocaine hidden in frozen food at John F. Kennedy International Airport, according to authorities.

The man was stopped last month by Customs and Border Protection, after he had come into the country on a flight from Trinidad.

While inspecting his luggage, officials found three packages of frozen meat. They also found white powder in the meat that they say tested positive for cocaine.

The man faces federal drug smuggling charges.
