Warri Wolves travel to Enyimba on Sunday, November 7, desperate to deny the hosts of a seventh Nigeria Professional Football League title.
With two matches remaining, Enyimba sit on top of the league with 68 points, closely followed by Warri Wolves on 62 points. A draw for the People’s Elephants will see them lift the NPFL crown with a game to spare.
The Seasiders however, will be aware that they haven’t won at the Aba giants in their last six fixtures, managing only two draws, the last of which—in March 2013—finished goalless.
A win or draw for Enyimba will see them being crowned champions for the seventh time, the highest number by any club in the history of the Glo Premier League should they beat Warri Wolves by any goal margin.
Enyimba have won the title in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2010. They were African Champions in 2003 and 2004.
