OYO SCHOOLS MERGER: Aregbesola Warned Against Dividing Christians

The Osun State chapter of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has warned Governor Rauf Aregbesola against seeking to divide the Christian Association of Nigeria in his bid to force on the people of the state the merger of schools embarked upon by his administration.

Chairman of PFN in the state, Rev. Olasunbo Ige; and state secretary, Pastor John Adeleke, gave this warning in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday.

The reaction of the PFN followed a story in some newspapers and the state broadcasting outfits that the PFN disagreed with CAN and accused the umbrella body of Christians in the country of peddling rumour rather than seeking information on the policy of schools reclassification in Osun State.

The pentecostal body said the story, which sought to cause disharmony among Christians, emanated from one of the aides of the governor.
