In a recent tribunal sitting, counsel to the petitioner (PDP) had pleaded to the tribunal to present documents for inspection by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to buttress the case. But this was strongly objected to by the respondent’s counsel who noticed that allowing the documents to be tendered will endanger their case.
The APC candidate, Simon Bako Lalong won the 2015 gubernatorial election in Plateau state with 564, 913 votes as against the PDP's candidate who scored 520, 627 votes.
