On Wednesday Ayodele Fayose, the Ekiti State Governor advised Nigerians not to fall for the antics of former President Olusegun Obasanjo for allegedly endorsing the presidential candidature of Major Gen Muhammadu Buhari for the 2015 voting, ThisDay informs.
Fayose called Obasanjo's declaration of support for Buhari a political somersault and a suicidal mission. The governor in a statement asked Nigerians to ignore Obasanjo because of his antecedent as a man who has penchant for deceiving people for his own political gains.
It will be recalled that Obasanjo at a book launch in Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday declared support for Buhari, saying he has capacity to fight corruption that is killing the system.
According to him: "Leaving President Jonathan and vote for Buhari is like to abandon the road and enter the bush. God forbid we enter the forest which we may not come out for years. How can you follow somebody who because of old age is senile, but being propelled by his followers to fly the plane at all cost. Won't that plane crash?"
