El-Rufai Will Lead Kaduna To Greater Heights – Utomi

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Professor Pat Utomi, has called on the people of Kaduna State to give former FCT minister, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai  the chance to bring about positive changes into the state.

According to Utomi, El-Rufai is a revolutionary leader that can implement good policies and secure premium return on investment.

APC chieftain made this loud statement while speaking as a guest lecturer at the El-Rufai Support Group Interactive Dinner held in Kaduna at the weekend, Leadership reports.

Isaiah Mohammed, the chairman of the occasion, said the group organised the dinner because its members know that they have a stake in the future of Kaduna State.

The chairman assured that “the excellence of El-Rufai is unmistakable and that the people look up to him for a high level of purposefulness to lead Kaduna to greater heights.”

Speaking at the event, El-Rufai reminded that Kaduna is the second most indebted state in the country with a huge wage bill and very low level of internally generated revenue. But he would do his utmost to bring change.

It should be noted that professionals from different sectors of the economy were present at the dinner. The representatives of the National Association of Nurses and Midwives raised concerns about poor state of healthcare infrastructure in Kaduna State.

Commenting on the mentioned problems, El-Rufai promised that he would prioritise education and healthcare.

According to him, all children in the state would be entitled to free and compulsory education for the first nine years in properly maintained schools and with qualified teachers. He also added that an APC government would recruit more healthcare personnel into hospitals that would have better equipment and more medicines.

El-Rufai also urged the professionals to take an active part in politics because even if they choose to ignore politics, politics will not ignore them .

Continuing his speech, he called on Kaduna people to cast their votes for Muhammadu Buhari who would create a clear-headed Federal Government in the country.

It would be recalled that about 435 people have recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.

Mass defection reportedly occurred on January 21, 2015 during the APC campaign rally for the party’s governorship candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, in Makarfi.
