Patience Jonathan Is Not God- Aspirant
Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State, on Monday said Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan is not God.
The aspirant made the assertion at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, while picking his Governorship ticket for his gubernatorial ambition, Daily Independent reports.

The statement was reportedly made in reaction to the endorsement allegedly given to the former Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, by the First Lady.
He expressed optimism that Wike’s endorsement will not make him (Wike) the Governor of Rivers State, but rather, the endorsement given to any of the aspirants by God Almighty will count when the election proper is conducted.
Jaja, who was responding to questions from journalists about his confidence in seeking the PDP governorship ticket despite the alleged endorsement of Wike for the seat by Mrs. Jonathan, further expressed his reservations about the desire of Wike to govern the state again after his kinsman, Rotimi Amaechi, has spent eight years in the same position.
The guber aspirant insisted that it is the turn of the Riverine area to produce the state’s next governor and not anyone from the upland as being canvassed by some persons from the zone.

Expressing himself further on Wike’s alleged endorsement by Patience, Jaja agreed that though, the First Lady reserves the right as a River State indigene and First Lady to endorse anyone, the position, he insisted, does not make her equal to God Almighty who has final authority over all human accomplishments.
It would be recalled that there was tension when politicians suspected to be loyalists of the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike reportedly caused chaos at the National Campaign Office of the Peoples Democratic Party, Maitama, Abuja, when they were said to have beaten Wike’s suspected opponents.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party and ex security Adviser to then Rivers governor, Peter Odili, Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe has revealed that Nyesom Wike is the main reason why President Goodluck Jonathan and governor Amaechi is engaged in a feud.
