Union Commends Kwankwaso For Donating House To Deceased Judge Family

Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Kano State branch, has commended Gov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso for donating a house to the families of Late Justice Mohammed Abdullahi.

Late Justice Abdullahi was a high court judge in the state before he died recently.

The chairman of the association, Mr Mukhtar Lawan, made the commendation while addressing newsmen in Kano on Thursday.

"The governor deserved to be commended for the singular gesture and for acknowledging the late Judge's contribution to the development of the state in particular and the country in general.

"We felt it necessary to thank the governor for the state government's gesture in giving the official house situated at Borno Avenue, Kano, and official cars to the families of the late High Court Judge."

According to him, the state government had also promised to sponsor the education of Abdullahi's children.

"This indeed touches the mind of all the judiciary staff in the state."

Lawan also commended the government for promoting 950 judiciary staff, saying it would boost their morale and productivity.

"This will also ginger the workers to contribute their quota in promoting a transparent judicial system in the state."

The chairman, however, called on the state government to focus on training and re-training of judicial officers to improve on their current performance.

He urged the judicial staff to reciprocate the gesture by redoubling efforts at improving the administration of justice in the state.
