Dangote Emerges Winner Of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of 2012 Award

President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has emerged as the winner in Nigeria and West African sub-region of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 under the master category, which automatically qualify him to context in the Ernst  & Young World Entrepreneur of the year 2012 to be held in Monte Carlo Monaco.

Also, Mr. Goodie Ibru, President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) emerged as Life achiever of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012. In the Emerging Category, Mitchell Elegbe, Managing Director, InterSwitch got the award.

Meanwhile, there were five awardees in the Emerging Category at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year 2012 which include: Mitchell Elegbe, Mr. Frank Adu, Managing Director, CAL Bank, Ghana, Adelaide Ahwireng, Managing Director, FIO Enterprises Ghana; William Ato Essien, Managing Director, First Capital Plus; Roland Agambire, Managing Director, Rig Communication.

In Master Category, Aliko Dangote and Mr. Azudialu, President, Nestoil Plc emerged as awardees. Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Egbiki, Regional Managing Partner for West Africa, Ernst & Young, said, “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.
