Ebuehi and Kalu did not feature for the three-time African champions in their first game against Liberia which the team won by 2-0.

Their exclusion would further reduce the players in camp after players based in the United Kingdom returned to their base due to COVID-19 red list travel restrictions for UK-based players.

The likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, William Ekong, Oghenekaro Etebo and Joe Aribo will not be available for the tie.

And with the exclusion of Venezia's Ebuehi and Bordeaux's Kalu, the Super Eagles now have ten players absent for the squad that would face the Blue Sharks.

Gernot Rohr will have nothing to worry about in the vacant spaces as the likes of Chigozie Awaziem, Ola Aina, Jamilu Collins would fill the void in the defence.

And the attack would have team-captain Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu and Moses Simon.

Okoye missing his lover

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Maduka Okoye is certainly missing someone dear to his heart since he left his base in the Netherlands to honour an international call, Instagram.

The Super Eagles number one was in between the stick when Nigeria defeated Liberia in a World Cup qualifier by 2-0.

The 22-year-old who had little or nothing to do in the game against the Lone Stars posted his girlfriend on his Insta Story.

The dark-skinned lady was putting on a black gown holding Okoye as she tried to kiss him when the photo was taken.

Legit.ng also reported that former Super Eagles striker has become more popular as a social media celebrity than wearing the colours of the Nigerian flag.

The 34-year-old who quit football earlier than expected has now resorted to enjoying the money made from his hard work without stress.

The former Nigerian international posted a photo on his Instagram himself and his beautiful wife Iheoma Nnadi sharing a romantic kiss.
