Held at its headquarters in Oshodi, the event was themed 'Working Well Together: Choosing Health'. It was facilitated by medical practitioners from Novartis English West Africa, The Doctors, Nigeria and Ikeja Medical Centre.

They educated the LBSL workers about hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate cancer, breast cancer, Hepatitis B and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The doctors explained some of the identifiable risk factors of the diseases and how to manage them effectively. They also emphasised the need for regular health check-ups, exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.

"We chose to celebrate our second anniversary with health awareness campaigns from different medical professionals and health check-ups for our staff, as we know the importance of having a healthy workforce. Their health remains of paramount importance to us always," he said.

Oguntona, who also highlighted LBSL's milestones in two years, described the journey as outstanding, while also acknowledging the tremendous support of the Lagos State Government under Mr Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu’s leadership.

Some of the achievements include starting operations with 50 buses, less than 150 staff and four routes in 2019, to 312 buses, 822 staff, 32 routes and safely transporting over 24 million Lagosians in just two years.

"It has been an amazing journey so far. Looking back to how we started and where we are now; being the preferred bus transportation service provider makes us very humble. We have more than enough reason to celebrate. When we started, we didn't just want to be like one of the others. We said we wanted to be the best, and the dominant bus service provider in the transport sector in Lagos state and that vision is already our reality".

The Lagos State Government, under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for their distinguished and steadfast support."
