Breaking: Anxiety as Suspected gunmen abduct APC chairman

Niger state - Suspected kidnappers have abducted Mallam Aminu Bobi who serves as the Zone ‘C’ chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger state.
The Nation reports that Bobi was abducted on Saturday, August 7, around 5 pm while Bobi supervising workers on his farm in Mariga local government area.

According to eyewitnesses, 18 gunmen in six motorcycles invaded the farm shooting sporadically. It was gathered that they only took the APC chairman and left the workers behind.
At the time of this report, the Niger Police Spokesman DSP Abiodun Wasiu is yet to confirm the abduction.

Bandits kidnap Zamfara speaker's father, stepmother, 4 others
Earlier, Bandits in Zamfara dealt a heavy blow to the government on Wednesday, August 4, as they succeeded in kidnapping family members of the state Assembly's speaker, Nasiru Magarya.
The armed criminals raided Magarya's hometown in the afternoon of Wednesday and unleashed terror on residents while they were observing Muslim prayers.
The bandits kidnapped the speaker's father, stepmother, and four other persons in their evil operation. Mohammed Shehu, the spokesperson for the state police command in the state confirmed the development.
Police confirm abduction of 7 naval officers in Edo state
Meanwhile, seven officers of the Nigerian Navy have been abducted in Edo state. According to the report, the officers were abducted by armed bandits while travelling to Delta from Kaduna state on the popular Sapele-Warri road.
However, revealed that five of the officers have been rescued by operatives of the Edo state police command.
It was gathered that policemen from the Edo State Command, acting on intelligence report, rescued five of the officers while two others are still missing.
