A Nigerian man identified as Ekpono Chijioke Ugbala like many graduates in the country tried very hard to get a job after school.

When all efforts proved abortive, the university graduate resorted to farming and planted cucumbers. That singular effort paid off.

His cucumber farming paid off

During his harvest, the man showed off the fresh produce he got from his farm, leaving many people amazed.

Photos shared on Facebook showed his harvest displayed on the floor and stacked in a sack. Chijioke also posed on his farmland.

He told Legit.ng:

"I graduated from the Department of Applied Microbiology and also did my Masters in the same department from Ebonyi State University, Abakalilki.

"Due to the scarcity of employment in the country, I decided to go into farming, especially Cucumber production. My fiancee thought it was not going to work but I give glory to God for where I am today.

"This is to encourage other graduates out there. You will make it, just try."

Another Nigerian cucumber farmer
