Cena is currently on the big screen in F9, with SunSport reporting it is one of the latest installments of the successful Fast and Furious franchise.

The 44-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame since his big break in the WWE, enjoying an otherwise successful career in Hollywood.

However, according to the celebrated wrestler, he had to endure a rough patch on his way to fame, revealing he had to sleep in the back seat of the car.

“I slept in my car for a while, which happened to be a very roomy 1991 Lincoln Town Car. I had my clothes in the trunk and I slept in the back seat," he divulged.

At the time, the leader of the Cenation was working at a gym, but the job was not well-paying to cover his bills.

“I’d wake up, use the locker rooms and the shower and repeat the process all over again," he added.

SunSport reports he moved from the Massachusetts town of West Newbury to LA in 1999, a move his father, an estate agent was skeptical about.

Cena revealed his father predicted he would not make it in LA and would return home in two weeks "with my tail between my legs."

Fortunately for Cena, it did not take him long to make a name for himself in wrestling once he stepped in the ring in 2000.

Four years later, he was a WWE champion enjoying a rivalry with The Rock that culminated in their record-breaking bout in 2012.

After a successful WWE career, Cena ventured into Hollywood where he has equally enjoyed a spectacular journey.

Trainwreck, Fast and Furious, and F9 are among some of the movies the wrestling icon has starred in.

Off the screen, family is understood to be central to Cena, with The Sun claiming his marriage with Shay Shariatzadeh, a Canadian engineer changed his mindset about fatherhood.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how John Cena recently found himself in a pickle while promoting his latest movie Fast & Furious 9 in Taiwan.

While on tour there, Cena made the mistake of referring to the democratic island as a country.

This sparked outrage in Beijing because Beijing does not recognise Taiwan as an independent nation and rather as part of its territory, and in fact, has plans to seize it should the opportunity arise.
