Premier League club Manchester City have reportedly made a blockbuster transfer bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane to the tune of £100million.

Sky Sports are reporting that the Etihad Stadium outfit are ready to swoop on the striker after he expressed his willingness to leave Spurs.

Manchester City made an opening offer worth £100million for Harry Kane as they continue to shop for Sergio Aguero's replacement.

With rivals Manchester United and Chelsea already trailing the striker, Manchester City look to have overtaken both clubs and are now the leading contender to snap up the striker.

The Spurs captain is valued at upwards of £120million and Tottenham keen to keep him despite the England captain believing he has a gentleman's agreement with Daniel Levy.

His latest decision puts the north London outfit in a great conundrum and they have reportedly started enquiries about replacement centre-forwards to replace the disgruntled 27-year old.

Kane has stated that he will decide on his future right after Euro 2020 and the fresh report adds that City are open to including players in addition to the cash offer, but Tottenham are expected to reject the bid.

He bagged a total of 32 goals for his club in all competitions at the just concluded season, but despite all that, he is yet to win a title over the years.

He came close to winning silverware in the Carabao Cup last month where Spurs were beaten in the final by a treble-chasing Manchester City.

Kane at Euro 2020

At the ongoing Euro 2020, he was substituted in England's opening win over Croatia and their underwhelming 0-0 draw with Scotland following below-par performances in both games.

There are concerns that despite his impressive stats at the last campaign, leading the goal scorer's chart, he now seems to be struggling.

The Guardian reports that Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all understood to be keen on signing the striker.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that England football fans did not hold back in their criticism for Gareth Southgate after a drab performance saw them draw 0-0 against Scotland on Friday, June 18.

This was the first meeting between the two nations at a major tournament since Euro ’96 but it did not exactly live up to the hype, with only 22,500 fans in attendance.

Plaudits will have to go to Scotland on the day, who were superb in containing The Three Lions for large parts of the game.
