The 29-year old was seen hobbling off after a collision with two fans who slid as they took the chance to run-up to the Paris Saint Germain superstar.

Brazil players were departing from the team bus and were headed to their hotel room when the incident took place.

Barely two seconds after Neymar got off the bus, two young fans got through security and ran towards the PSG forward.

There was a small melee afterwards as one of the fans seemed completely unwilling to let go of Neymar, despite the fact that he potentially injured the forward.

Neymar hobbled into the hotel room and managed a reluctant wave to the fans before disappearing.

Brazil manager Tite did not give any update in the wake of the incident but fans were relieved when Neymar featured in a game against Ecuador on Friday, June 4.

The Brazilian was on target from the penalty spot as Brazil cruised to a 2-0 win over their South American rivals.

Brazil’s next game is against Paraguay on Tuesday, in what is a crucial World Cup qualifier match.

The country is also set to compete in the Copa America from June 13 where they face Venezuela in their first game.

It was quite understandable for fans to express concerns over Neymar’s fitness after video of the two fans tackling him went viral.

The Brazilian has suffered a series of injuries for both club and country in recent years, which has seen him miss out on crucial games.

For country, he was absent from the 2014 World Cup as hosts Brazil were completely anhilliated by Germani 7-1 in the semi-finals.

He was left out of the tournament after suffering a broken back during a 2014 World Cup quarter-final against Colombia.
