Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have now been tipped as potential destinations for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner according to Sunday Times football writer Duncan Castles via Transfer Window podcast and quoted by 90 min.

Duncan revealed that Ronaldo's current earning is hurting the club's financial flow, hence, the reason for the decision to sell the winger.

"Juventus want to sell Cristiano Ronaldo, or if they can't sell him get him off their books for the coming season. They need to do that for FFP purposes.
"They won't state that publicly but that has been the plan for some time and they've been working to find somewhere that is acceptable to Cristiano Ronaldo."

The football writer also revealed that Massimiliano Allegri will be glad to cash in on Ronaldo and use the funds from his sale to buy a few quality players for his team.

"Allegri's arrival, and Allegri being given control and authority over transfers, has not changed that."
