Nigeria vs Cameroon international friendly match will take centre stage in Austria as both sides will be looking to claim bragging rights.

The west African neighbours are both through to the AFCON 2022 tournament next year as they look to develop their respective squad ahead the soccer fiesta in Africa.

The last time both teams met was at the quarter final stages of the AFCON 2019 and it was the Super Eagles that won the game by 2-1.

Nigeria have not had it smooth with friendlies in recent months, winning two, drawing three and recorded one loss.

On the other hand, the Indomitable Lions also have a not-too impressive record with a win, three draws and one defeat.

There are several injury problems have been rocking Gernot Rohr's men in the build up to the game as the likes of Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi and Valentine Ozornwafor.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigeria vs Cameroon international friendly game has taken another turn as six out of nine defenders have withdrawn from the encounter slated for Friday, June 4, 2021, in Austria, The Cable.

The likes of Ola Aina, Zaidu Sanusi, Tyronne Ebuehi, Semi Ajayi, and Valentine Ozornwafor have all pulled out due to respective injury problems.

The number of players out of the fixture has now risen to eight, six of them are defenders with just three left in the squad.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho presence in the Super Eagles camp is never a dull moment as the Leicester City striker was spotted leading the team in an Igbo song, Twitter.

The Nigerian international and the rest of the team are currently preparing for Super Eagles clash with Cameroon in Austria on Friday, June 5.

The team were on their way to training when Iheanacho took it upon himself to do a rendition in Igbo language as other players followed.
