Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how after helping the Blues to win the Champions League beating Manchester City in the final, Chelsea chiefs are ready to reward Brazilian defender Thiago Silva with a new one-year deal.

This latest development will come as a cheering news for many Chelsea fans who have been clamoring for Thiago Silva to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Silva left Paris Saint-Germain last summer after spending almost nine years winning the French League title seven times and got to the final of the Champions League.

He was among the Paris Saint-Germain stars who lost the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and that was his last game for the club.
