De Gea and Henderson have switched roles for the better part of the 2020/21 campaign, with both players jostling for the lucrative No.1 spot.

De Gea started the campaign as the first-choice goalkeeper before Henderson ousted him in March when the former flew to Spain for the birth of his first child.

However, Metro UK reports Henderson has failed to convince Solskjaer he deserves to be the undisputed first-choice especially after his costly mistake in Man United's 4-2 defeat to Liverpool.

That suggests the Norwegian could start De Gea between the sticks in Gdansk, with ESPN claiming Solskjaer is aware whoever misses out is likely to leave Old Trafford this summer.

The 30-year-old shot-stopper is currently United's highest earner and his thought to be keen to stay beyond this season.

Be that as it may, it has been reported Solskjaer has concerns over his lack of motivation and lack of ability to command his box, two key areas Henderson beats him in.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Gary Neville contends Man United could have an edge in the pursuit to sign Harry Kane at the end of the season because they have three players they can offer Tottenham Hotspur to tempt them with a swap plus cash deal.

Kane, who won this season's Golden Boot award and Playmaker of the Year award recently opened the door for a possible exit as he looks to win titles.

It is understood it would take a mammoth fee to convince Spurs to sell one of their most important assets, but Neville believes the inclusion of the trio of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, and Dan James might sweeten the deal for the north Londoners to turn it down.
