Harry Kane has revealed that he wants to match up with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in terms of trophies and goals, Sky Sports.

The Tottenham forward had earlier revealed his intentions to leave the club in the summer with Man United, Man City and Chelsea all in the running for his signature.

The 27-year-old has played his topflight career with Spurs hitting doubles figure and his tally for the Lily Whites has totaled up to 125 goals in 240 appearances.

However, as good as he is, the England captain is yet to win a trophy with the north London club and this season is potentially his last.

And Kane categorically stated:

"I don't want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be.
"I never said I'd stay at Spurs for the rest of my career and I've never said I'd leave Spurs. People might say, 'he's desperate for trophies, he needs trophies', but I feel like I've still got almost another career to play.
"I've got seven, eight years, kind of what I've already had in the Premier League. So I'm not rushing anything, I'm not desperate to do anything."

The two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner also stated that he wants to play match the feats of two of the greatest footballers of all time Ronaldo and Messi.

Kane who is currently top of the goal and assist charts in the league this season said on: Gary Neville's Overlap on YouTub :

"I've still got so much more to give. I can produce better numbers than I'm producing at the moment.
"I'm not afraid to say, 'I want to be the best'. I want to try and get on the level Ronaldo and Messi got to. That's my ultimate goal - to be winning trophies season in, season out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out.
"The pressure from myself is always bigger than anything anyone else can put on me."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Harry Kane appears to have made joining Manchester City in a deal of around £100 million his top priority this summer.

The England striker stunned the world after tendering his transfer request to the Spurs' board a few games to the end of the ongoing season.

His decision to quit came following the North Londoners' failure to beat Man City and win their first silverware in about a decade.
